CG TECHNICAL DIRECTOR (MAYA)

 

Duties

 

The position of Technical Director requires someone with a thorough knowledge of 3D Computer Graphics, with over 2 years of experience in a similar role working on broadcast or film projects. The work will involve complex problem solving for the definition and execution of 3D computer graphics and will use both commercial and proprietary (in-house) software packages for the creation of photo realistic moving images.

 

Skills Required

 

- Full knowledge of Maya, including Mel Scripting

- 3D creature set-up

- 3D environment modeling, texturing and lighting

- Unix shell scripting is an advantage

- Familiarity with pipeline issues

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

SHADER WRITER

 

Duties

 

We are looking for a Lead Shader Writer who is capable of designing and creating Mental Ray shaders and the look of computer generated objects and scenes.

 

Skills Required

 

- Demonstrated ability to create production-ready shaders as part of an overall facility-rendering pipeline.

- Strong technical skills including software design and implementation combined with a solid understanding of math and physics theories.

- Strong artistic skills with a proven ability in the creation of cinematic color and lighting on digital productions. 3-5+ years production experience in the creation and application of mental ray shaders for motion picture visual effects and/ or animated features.

- B.S., B.Sc in computer science or related discipline.

- Experience with Maya required.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
